The title of the 2nd semester of the Master Degree in Architecture “Architectural Form, Space and Environmental Design” is the point of departure for the following project. Focus is on qualitative housing, energy calculations and concerns, and a certain awareness of the spirit and history of the site.
As the title “Green Transition” suggests, the group worked with the transition from the green and open-low areas near by Godsbanearealet to the inner city of Aalborg, Denmark. The site is located right in the intersection of these two very different urban milieus. This contrast has been utilized and thus, the building is designed as a merge between a city block relating to the surroundings and a swirling, semi pri- vate courtyard expressing community feeling.
Projet members: Noel Venegas (Mexico) , Nasta Dzavikova (Slovakia); Thea Grünfeld, Hasse Bové Jensen, Rikke Wedege Sørensen and Anne Arildsen Vangsgaard (Denmark)
